GIS Day is a day-long worldwide annual event that brings together users and
vendors of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to present real-world
applications of this technology to the general public in schools, universities
and other public places.
On November 19, 2003, GISkos jointly with its regional partner Gisdata organised
a presentation to mark the GIS Day. This event was held at Hotel Victory in
Prishtina, the capital of Kosova, and it helped re-launch the newly branded
GISkos, the leading Kosovar company
specialising in GIS technology.
The event attracted a great number of visitors from the Kosovar society, as well
as coverage from the national media.
GIS Day 2005 will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005.
